Spatial information artificial intelligence (AI) company Meisa (CEO Choi Seok-won, Kim Dong-young) announced on the 27th that it has signed an agreement with Shinsegae E&C to introduce a drone-based spatial information solution throughout the company. Under this agreement, the Meisa platform will be applied to all SHINSEGAE E&C's ongoing construction sites nationwide, and in particular, they will also promote automation of on-site operation and management based on autonomous drone stations.
This is a shift in field operating systems beyond a simple solution replacement. SHINSEGAE E&C plans to completely replace existing global solutions and upgrade the field management system in the direction of unmanned and automated the entire process from drone flight to data collection, analysis, and utilization on the Meisa platform.
The reason why major domestic construction companies choose Meisa over global solutions is a platform capability that is deeply consistent with practice. Meisa provides functions optimized for domestic construction processes, such as process management, ready-made calculations, and on-site technical support, and is differentiated by an operating system that matches design, construction, and ready-made data into a single spatial data. Major domestic construction companies such as Hyundai E&C, Daewoo E&C, DL E&C, Umi E&C, and IPARK Hyundai Industrial Development have adopted Meisa in the same context.
Meisa aims to establish a “Single Source of Truth (Single Source of Truth)” for the field by integrating multi-layer spatial data such as drones, satellites, CCTV, and IoT, and furthermore, to implement a “World Model (World Model)” where AI and autonomous robots judge the scene themselves.
Choi Seok-won, CEO of Meisa, said, “There are several platforms that process drone data at home and abroad. Nevertheless, the reason why large construction companies choose Meisa is not simply because it handles drone data well,” he said. “The ability to implement spatial information into the practical language of construction is a key differentiator of Meisa.”
